SITEX 45 has developped different devices to be introduced in a reconfigurable optical network: an optical fiber fixing device, a laser diode power supply and a photodetector.
A special fixing device has been designed and manufactured to perform the best positioning and accurate fixing of special Optical Fibers (OF) during testing under wavelength radiation beam. The OF are presenting D-shape slits dedicated to modify the propagation characteristics of the wave that needs to be appropriately aligned.

We have highlighted with this development the need to realize the accurate positioning of OF`s samples under evaluation bacause of the frailness of OF that need to be handled multiple times with a serious risk for their integrity. In this fixing device, rotation and displacement on the Y-axis is not possible.
The test bench need a light source, provided by a laser diode. SITEX 45 has designed the associated driver electronic diagram as well as the supplying unit for 2.7 VDC.

Also SITEX 45 has designed up-graded concept of read-out system of waves selector with specific electronic modules and sensitive parts integration with optics micromechanic devices. Everything has been mounted on a PCB support to obtain an assembled electronic module with a supplying unit integrated.

These modules have been tested on an optical table. The photodetector is tested with several wavelengths of incident light.

The several devices under development and testing are of great interest for the wavelength selector system experimental set-up considered to be developed within the project.
